I had a hankering for some of the signature Shak Sauce from Da Chicken Shak & More, so I stopped by for lunch. It’s been one of my favorite dipping sauces for many years, going back to the days of the all you can eat catfish for ten bucks at Da Cajun Shak (ah the memories). While deals like that are long gone, you can still get a bunch of catfish and chicken strips for a good price at any of the Da Chicken Shak locations. I got the Duo Combo today, which comes with four chicken strips, six catfish strips, and a side. I think it’s meant to be split between two people, but you know how I roll. For my side, I went with the fried okra. Even though they sprinkled their spicy seasoning over everything, I still needed some hot sauce to go with the Shak Sauce. Make sure to hit up Da Chicken Shak to get your fix of that special sauce.
