To Our Beloved Valle, Williams, and Grand Canyon Community,
It is with heavy hearts that we share some difficult news. After an unforgettable journey, we have
made the incredibly difficult decision to close the window of S&J Mobile Cafe for the final time.
Since opening our little red truck on April 7, 2022, S&J has been so much more than a business
to us. It has been our passion, our purpose, and a place where friendships were formed over
coffee, burritos, and conversation. Our goal was simple: to create a welcoming roadside oasis at
Grand Canyon Junction where travelers and locals alike could enjoy exceptional "Sweets and
Eats", a great cup of coffee, and a space where everyone felt like family.
The connections we've made over the past four years are something we will carry with us
forever. We have shared early morning sunrises with hikers heading to the South Rim,
celebrated milestones with local families, welcomed visitors from around the world, and built
relationships that extended far beyond a food truck window. You shared your stories, your
adventures, and pieces of your lives with us, and we are deeply grateful for every moment.
Like many small businesses, we have faced increasing challenges in recent years. The rising
costs of operating in our remote high-desert community have brought us to a difficult
crossroads. We built S&J on a promise to serve honest, scratch-made food prepared with care
and quality ingredients. Continuing to operate would require compromises that would change
the very heart of what S&J stands for, and that is something we simply cannot do.
Our final day of service will be Saturday, June 27, 2026.
Before we close our window for the last time, we would love the opportunity to see you. Stop by for your favorite Rim Smash, a warm waffle, a cold brew, or simply a visit.
We'd love the chance to thank you in person for being such an important part of our journey.
