It's almost time for the summer Willow Farmers Market. I'm looking forward to it and hope to be there every day this year. I'll have some customer favorites available as well as some new coffees for those that want to try something new. And I never know what I might pick up as summer starts up and new coffees become available.

I'm also going to get back to writing in the Blog and hope to get more conversations about coffee going in the community.

I haven't had this coffee in quite a while. Too long apparently. As a coffee roaster I'm always trying new things and drinking up the odds and ends at home. I forgot how good this Ugandan coffee is!

I don't like to rob my bags prepared for sale, but I decided I wanted to remind myself how this coffee tastes, so I opened a bag and brewed it in our 8 cup drip brewer. Delicious. Rich, chocolaty, moderately sweet but balanced. It's a full medium roast and I think bold enough without being smokey to satisfy dark roast fans too.

I'm promoting it but I think there's only 1 bag right now at CC's Skyfire Kitchen. They should have a pot brewed if you'd like to taste it. There are other coffees available there too. I'll be sure to roast some more of this soon and get them restocked with this Ugandan next week.

Playing with my next ode to sled dogs label design. These are two of my OG leader girls, Flyer and Galaxy. Both now retired and in the house.

I'm thinking this blend will be a fairly traditional bold and dark roast blend suitable for milk based espresso drinks and those that want a higher caffeinated rich mug to get them down the trail. Hopefully ready for release by the time the Willow Farmers Market starts in June.

I welcome any feedback.

Obviously I need to do a better job at my inventory control. I apparently lost track of these coffees in a bin from the summer Farmers Market, so now they're about 3 months post roast. I try really hard to keep my coffees at their peak, so after 3 months I'm going to discount them. They're basically at their peak now and best to be drank over the next month.

This is all whole bean coffee. I can grind for a medium drip if you like, but the bag will be opened. Ground coffee should be used as quickly as possible.

Anything you see here is currently discounted more than 30%. That's $8.00 for an 8oz bag or $12.00 for a 12oz bag. I like simple math. 😄

I love to get feedback from my customers. This wonderful Mexican coffee from Veracruz is available in town at Cc's Skyfire Kitchen. A dark roast perfect for crisp Fall mornings.

A good story about the current state of coffee. Read it with your morning cup! Hopefully it's not pay walled for you.

Coffee has almost no nutritional value and lots of substitutes. It’s also, apparently, too important to lose.
