Horseshoe crab spawning season is beginning! ๐
With spring underway, spawning activity for horseshoe crabs is starting to pick up along our coast. These ancient creatures come ashore during the highest tides, typically around the full and new moons, to lay their eggs on sandy beaches and in our marshes.
We need your help! If you spot horseshoe crabs on the beach or in the marsh, please report your observations. Your sightings provide valuable data that help us track spawning activity and support conservation efforts.
Report your observations using the link below. Make sure to include location, date/time, number of crabs seen, and a photo if possible!
Every report makes a difference. Thank you for helping us monitor and protect horseshoe crabs!
