I didn’t meet Sean while he was stationed at the Air Force Base. I met him after.
After the years of service.
After the deployments.
After the returns from war-torn countries.
After he came home.
I am one of the lucky ones.
I got to marry the honorable man who made it home. I got to build a life, raise a family, and grow up with my best friend because he was one of the fortunate ones who returned.
So many families were not given that same gift.
So many brave men and women never got the chance to keep living their lives, to come home, to fall in love, to raise children, to grow old. Because they made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.
As the wife of a veteran, and as a veteran-owned and community proud business, Memorial Day means more than a long weekend. It is a day for rememberance and gratitude.
Today, we remember. We honor. We never forget. 🇺🇸
