M/s Gathering

M/s Gathering Now in its 12th year, The M/s Gathering is an intimate, 150-person weekend for those exploring power and authority exchange.

Think 'MAsT meeting on steroids'—moderated discussions, real connection, unhurried days, and cozy, kinky fun at night.

Who should present at next year's M/s Gathering?

As we begin planning next year’s M/s Gathering, one of the most important parts of our process is hearing from the community itself.

MsG has always been shaped not just by the team behind it, but by the voices, ideas, and experiences of those who attend.

We’d love your help.

Who would you like to see as presenters at next year’s MsG?

This is not only for featured presenters (regionally and/or nationally known educators), but also for first-time presenters and community-led discussion leaders—especially those you feel have valuable knowledge to share and deserve a platform.

We’re especially interested in voices that bring thoughtful perspective, lived experience, and a willingness to engage in meaningful conversation.

Feel free to include:
• Names of presenters or educators
• Topics you’d like them to cover
• Why you think they’d be a great fit for MsG

Your suggestions help us build a program that reflects the depth, diversity, and evolving conversations within our community.

Building community doesn’t just happen at our own events—it happens in rooms like this.

We had the honor of attending the Pride Month flag raising ceremony at the Sofitel Hotel in Philadelphia this week, an invitation-only gathering that brought together LGBTQIA+ advocates, nonprofits, and community leaders from across the region.

From our perspective as a Philly Leather Pride organizers and fundraiser, what stood out most wasn’t just the ceremony itself—it was the relationships being built and strengthened in real time. These are the spaces where collaboration starts, where future partnerships take shape, and where we begin to align our work across organizations that are all serving the same broader community.

The speeches were powerful and grounded in lived experience, and the visibility of the moment—amplified by media coverage—was important. But just as important were the quieter conversations happening before and after: connecting with other nonprofits, sharing what we’re working on, and finding overlap in mission and need.

Afterward, the reception at Liberté had that same energy—less formal, more human. Real conversations, real introductions, and real opportunities to think about how we support each other moving forward.

For us, these moments are part of the “infrastructure” of community building. Not the stage moments, but the relationship moments. The ones that eventually translate into stronger collaboration, better fundraising reach, and more coordinated support for the people we all serve.

Grateful to be in spaces like this on behalf of Philly Leather Pride—and even more grateful for the growing network of people and organizations committed to doing this work together.

Thank you to everyone who has completed our MsG 2026 post-event survey!

As we review your feedback and begin planning for next year, one theme has already emerged: 44% of respondents would like to see more advanced content offered at future M/s Gatherings.

We're excited by that response—and we'd love your input.

What topics would you like to see explored in greater depth? Are there conversations, challenges, experiences, or perspectives that you feel deserve more attention within our community?

Your ideas help us create programming that remains relevant, thought-provoking, and meaningful for attendees at every stage of their journey.

Share your thoughts below. We look forward to hearing what matters most to you.

The Weekend Ends. The Conversations Don’t.

Eleven years of MsG have taught us something important: community is not built in a single weekend.

It’s built in conversations that stay with us long after we return home. In friendships that deepen over time. In the people who continue showing up for one another between events.

As we begin planning next year’s M/s Gathering, we’ve been reflecting on the moments and conversations from this year that lingered long after the weekend ended.

Maybe it was something said during a class, over dinner, in the hallway, or during a quiet late-night conversation with friends old and new.

If there’s a moment or conversation from this year’s MsG that has stayed with you, please reach out. We’d love to hear about it.

The weekend may be over, but the conversation continues.

Our MsG 2026 post-event survey has officially been sent out by email, and we would truly love to hear from you. Your feedback helps shape the future of The M/s Gathering — from the classes and discussions, to the atmosphere, accessibility, inclusivity, and the overall experience we create together.

Tell us:
✨ What inspired you
✨ What challenged you
✨ What stayed with you
✨ What you’d love to see in the future

Whether this was your first MsG or your 10th, your voice matters.

Please take a few moments to complete the survey and help us continue building a space 'Where Conversations Become Community.'

As we settle back into our daily lives after this year’s M/s Gathering, we find ourselves reflecting with immense gratitude on the people who made MsG 2026 possible.

First and foremost, thank you to everyone who attended. Thank you for bringing your whole selves into the space — your vulnerability, your honesty, your curiosity, your laughter, your tears, your lived experiences, and your willingness to engage deeply with one another. Every year, it is the people who gather that make MsG what it is, and this year was no exception.

We also want to extend our deepest appreciation to our staff, and the many volunteers who stepped up throughout the weekend. Events like this are built on countless unseen hours of labor — planning, problem solving, emotional energy, logistics, flexibility, and care. So many people gave of themselves before and during the event to help create a space where connection and conversation could flourish, and we are profoundly grateful.

And, like all live events created by human beings, MsG 2026 did not unfold without challenges.

About six weeks before the event, we needed to make a change to part of our featured presenter lineup. Then, just one week before MsG, we learned that two additional featured presenters were facing personal medical and family emergencies that rightfully required their full attention and meant they would no longer be able to attend. Finally, less than 24 hours before the event began, another featured presenter — whose plane had already landed in Philadelphia — was called back home to manage an unexpected emergency at work.

To those presenters who could not be with us this year: thank you. Thank you for communicating with us through difficult moments, and for making the choices you needed to make for yourselves and your loved ones. We admire you for putting your health, families, and responsibilities first, and we sincerely hope that things have resolved in the best ways possible.

And even for those who did make it to MsG, the road was not always easy. One of our featured presenters was involved in a car accident while traveling to the event. Thankfully, there were no injuries. In a moment that left us both relieved and deeply humbled, they rented a car and continued on to MsG to ensure they could still be with our community. Their dedication and commitment were extraordinary, and we are incredibly grateful — though even more grateful that everyone was safe.

And to the many people who stepped forward — with very little notice — to facilitate discussions, lead conversations, share their experiences, and help fill unexpected gaps in the schedule: thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your willingness to step in helped create an even richer and more diverse weekend of learning and connection for our attendees. The generosity and adaptability of this community continues to amaze us.

What could have become a stressful and fragmented weekend instead became something deeply collaborative, resilient, and full of heart. That happened because of all of you.

We hope everyone has made it home safely, has had the opportunity to rest, and is giving themselves space to process all that was shared, learned, and experienced over the weekend. We know we are.

Thank you for trusting us, supporting one another, and continuing to help shape the spirit of MsG. We are honored to steward this gathering alongside such an incredible community.

Until next time. ❤️
