Oh Jim, how missed you will be. All of us at Del Rey Café extend our thoughts and prayers to Jim's wife and boys, and all of his friends and family.
What a tragedy. 😭❤️🙏

Jim Dudley was a leader, a mentor, and an unwavering voice for rural timber communities.

He believed deeply in the people who work in our woods and mills. He was passionate about telling our story and about connecting young people to careers and opportunities in the forest products industry.

Today we join Douglas Timber Operators and Oregon Forest Industries Council in honoring Jim’s memory. We are grateful for his service, his friendship, and the example he set for our industry. We extend our deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences to his family.

Thank you to all of our friends and customers and family that took time out of their day to support yesterday!! We were able to raise thousands of dollars to donate Sarah's fight against breast cancer!
I love this community. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Also, huge shout out to Jessie Hawley from Flying HJ for donating our staff shirts and rapidly making shirts we could wear and sell. We sold every single shirt!!

Tomorrow is the day!!! Saturday, March 7th, open to close! Please come if you can and help my favorite sister in this battle 🙏❤️🙏

As we’ve seen time and time again, Douglas County shows up for its own — and I'm here to ask our community to come together again.

My sister is facing a tough battle with breast cancer and the long road that comes with it. Sarah Bennewate-Holland was a part of our community for 21 years — a Roseburg High School graduate, a member of the fire family for over a decade, a nurse, a single mom, a sister, and a daughter.

On Saturday, March 7th, Del Rey Café will donate 50% of all sales to help support Sarah’s recovery.

We will also be accepting donations at any time to help with the inevitable financial hardship she will be facing after surgery and the treatment that will ensue.

Her dear friend has also started a gofundme site.
