Before that, he used to work at the beautiful inn, Christman's Windham House for four years and prior to that was the chef and business owner of the infamous LaGriglia Ristorante for twelve years. In addition, the restaurant has a wonderful waitstaff whom are all accomodating and happy to serve for a delectable meal. Besides having a dining room, we do take out orders, pizza, catering and have a full bar with happy hour from 5-6 everyday ($.50 off all drinks!). Our Story

Messina's LaGriglia serves Northern Italian Cuisine located in the Catskill Mountains of New York. The owner, Chef Edward Messina, has been at this location since 2002. Edward Messina Apprenticed under Chef Vito Radelich for ten years and Studied at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park graduated in 1986. In 1988 Edward Took on a partner and purchased LaGriglia Restaurant from Vito & Lenora Radelich. We added a Bakery To the mix and operated until the year 2000. Then we closed LaGriglia Restaurant and moved the Bakery in the town of Windham. We closed the Bakery in 2006 and decided to just operate the restaurant. All of our entrees are made to order. We always use choice USDA Meats and premium select Seafood. Chef Edward goes to the market on a weekly basis and hand picks all of our ingredients. We offer many Signature Northern Italian Dishes to name a few Linguine Sinatra, Filet Mignon Barolo, Penne Pepperata, Fettucine Pomodoro, Salmon alla Griglia. Homemade desserts famous Chocolate Snowflake Cake & Cassata Rum Cake In addition, the restaurant has a wonderful waitstaff whom are all accommodating and ready to serve you. Besides having a dining room, we do take out orders, pizza, catering and have a full bar with happy hour from 5-6 everyday ($.50 off all drinks!). Thursday night is our Parmigiana Night. In addition to our regular menu we offer daily specials mostly fresh Seafood And Game Meats like Duck, Venison & Lamb. We recently added a lobster tank and offer fresh lobsters daily must try our Stuffed Lobster Classico !
