Last day of a Winter Harbor tag sale. Useful household items at very low prices. Hey everyone! For those of you still around, so am I!!! I'm having a tag sale this Saturday and Sunday where you'll find a lot of miscellaneous household items, constuction materials, electrical stuff and pans for baking. A mix of old and new. Many items one to a few dollars! I've made a few bakery items as well. Look for pecan squares, sour cream banana bread loves, date bars, bags of dried dates for cooking, blueberry pie and strawberry rhubarb pies. Stop by and find something good at this end of the season blast. Saturday and Sunday, 10/11 + 10/12 from 9 am to 1 pm. Hope to see you here - 127 Main St, Winter Harbor.

I really don't like needing to make this post, but I will no longer be offering the change box inside of the stand. This is now the fourth time just this summer that someone has come through the stand and taken all of the small bills out of the change box - and unfortunately, they have ruined it for all of the honest customers. I am out HUNDREDS of dollars in just the last two months due to theft by dishonest people and my prices simply aren't high enough to give me the margin to afford to eat that loss over and over again.

Yes, I have a camera (more than one actually). Yes, I saw who it was, as well as the vehicle they were driving. Is it worth reporting to the police? Honestly no, they have bigger things to spend their time on than someone getting away with a fistful of small bills.

I am sorry to all of my cherished and honest customers, unfortunately sometimes it is true that one bad apple can spoil the whole basket.

Please come prepared to pay exact cash (or be willing to leave a tip for your hard-working baker 😉) or use the QR code to pay with a card. Cash can still be deposited into the blue box mounted on the right hand wall of the stand.

Plans to liquidate my bakery business equipment, tools and miscellaneous baking molds I’ve collected over the years. Large selection of cake pans, specialty pans, miscellaneous tools and items, many on one dollar and two dollar shelves. TRADE DAY IN WINTER HARBOR THIS SATURDAY. Items are now on display in my garage which will make this a rain or shine event. Anyone interested in an early look I could schedule a look for both our schedules. Free. This was my dry storage flour bin. It would make a great rodent-proof storage bin for doog food, feed, bird seed or even the creative use as a buried root cellar for potatoes, squash, etc. Cord is cut and available for pick up for an air tight and mouse proof large storage bin. Dear bakery lovers

After seven delicious years of running The Bakery in Winter Harbor, I will be retiring.

Thank you to everyone who honored us with your steadfast support.  You allowed us to bring you a large variety of daily baked items and great coffee, all at great prices.  It was an honor to share with you a complete line of offerings from bakery to deli to breads to pies….oh, the pies!!

Time marches on. Stay in touch by dropping a line to keep me up to date on what you’re doing and I’ll do the same!   I will be conducting an equipment sale in the spring, including freezers and refrigeration.  Thank you for sharing this with friends you know that I should know!

And lean into supporting our democracy by contributing to the positive future of our land…a land where businesses like The Bakery can strive to succeed and survive.  Our job is to always to pick life’s “contest winners” and always in the correct order of who should be in first place and second place.  So, step up, because if we don’t do it….who will?
