Good morning Riverbend and happy Tuesday! Our special for the week starting Thursday, July 23 will be a grilled chicken bacon ranch wrap with lettuce, red onion, and tomato. We will also have wild Maine blueberry muffins, cinnamon rolls, baklava, sugar cookies, chocolate chip cookies, loaded cookie bars, peanut butter pie, Keylime pie, Irene’s baklava cheesecake, and other sweet treats. Hello everyone. We have really been enjoying our time off in Bar Harbor Maine. We love trying all the different restaurants and bakeries and getting fun yummy new ideas to bring back to you guys. We have some exciting news we will be sharing here shortly. As much fun as we’ve had I can’t wait to get back to serving you all. Hello everyone. We are officially on vacation. We do have a few caterings this week but the cafe is closed until July 22. We will reopen for regular service hours on July 23. We are so sorry for any inconvenience. Thank you all so much for supporting this small business of ours. We could not do this without all of our awesome customers and amazing staff. Good morning Riverbend and happy Friday! Cinnamon rolls will be coming out of the oven around 8. We have a lot of specials this weekend. Breakfast specials will be a cinnamon roll breakfast sandwich, or we have Mediterranean quiche today that is vegetarian, or bacon and cheese. If you haven’t tried our bacon yet, it is seriously the best in Illinois, having repeatedly won awards. Lunch specials today are the South Beach Turkey club and the strawberry chicken poppyseed salad. Come get your Cafe fix this weekend. We will be closed July 14 through July 22. We will open for regular service hours on July 23. We are so grateful for the support you all have showed us. I cannot believe we are already approaching our year anniversary. We cannot thank you all enough. 🩷🩵💚

Good morning Riverbend and happy Tuesday! We hope everyone had a great holiday weekend. We will be closed for vacation next week, from July 14 to July 22 to give our employees and us a little time off. We have a couple caterings that week, but we won’t be taking any more orders for that time. Sorry for any inconvenience . So with that being said, make sure to come see us this week and get your cafe fix. The strawberry grilled chicken poppyseed salad was a hit last week. We are going to do it again, along with the South Beach Club. Also, we have homegrown tomatoes on all of our sandwiches that have tomatoes. Sweet treats so far will be cinnamon rolls, baklava, mini lemon poppyseed loaves, mini blueberry loaves, Key lime pie, peanut butter pie, Irene’s baklava cheesecake, loaded cookie bars, iced sugar cookies, and chocolate chip cookies. We hope you have a great day and we’ll see you soon.🩷🩵💚

We will operate according to our regular service hours during the holiday weekend. I have been gifted Chanterelle mushrooms, which will feature in our vegetarian quiches. Additionally, we offer a bacon and cheese quiche option. Both quiches will be available on Friday and Saturday. Our salad selection is also noteworthy, including a delicious chicken salad.
