I wanted to take a moment to thank all the people who support my small business and message me for cakes and confections whenever they need them. I truly appreciate you so much.
This last week I had to make a very horrible choice to put my best friend and baby to sleep. I know that not everyone is a dog or cat person some people don’t value animals at the same level. But he was my baby like my children came from my body. His loss is very large in my life and I would be doing a disservice to the people I make things for if I didn’t put my heart into my work. And right now my heart is broken. The pain I am feeling is huge and I need to take the time for myself and heal. He was my companion and my very biggest happiness. It was so unexpected, but it was the only right choice to make.
That also being said in the current climate we are in if I don’t adjust my pricing to meet the ingredients inflation pricing I’m basically making cakes for free for anyone I bake for. And I can barely afford my own life.
So that being said, because of my current grief and the current inflation here I am going to be taking a little business hiatus.
If we already have a cake on the books please do not worry it is fine I will still make your cake I have you saved you are fine. We will have already communicated and you already know what’s happened and what went on already. I will however not be taking anymore orders until I can afford to. If I don’t see your messages or I don’t reply right away I am currently too busy to reply at the time I saw it. I will when I am. I just need some time right now.
There is no world where I want to charge 150$ for a 6 inch size cake and that’s the current standpoint.
So I hope you all are well and have a good February.
I’ll post again when I’m able to get back to business again.
