❄️🤍 We just wanted to take a minute and talk with you all about the concern to some of us remaining open today. Our entire staff here at the Diner are family and they had the choice to come in today or stay home. The owner, along with many members of our family plow as well, so they provide rides to and from work. It has always been up to the family wether they want to open or not and we always choose time and time again to remain open. We always have and we always will. Diners have been a staple to essential workers since the beginning. For almost 100 years we’ve been here for the Factory Workers, Police Officers, EMTs, Doctors and Nurses, Tow truck Drivers, Plowers and Sanders, our Neighbors and the Less Fortunate. We don’t stay open out of greed. We stay open because they have always known us to be open and we want them to have a place to take a break from the world. We don’t promote any travel but if you do find yourself out there for any reason you’ll always know where to go 🤍❄️

It was an absolute honor to have been a part of the segment for Diners! But above all else we want to say THANK YOU to all our customer, who are more than just patrons, you’re family! Operation Winter Overflow Shelter at the St Francis Xavier Center has begun!🥳 Thanks to our incredible community, we will be opening the shelter every night in February (at the St Francis Xavier Center - 20 Temple St) ! We need your help!⬇️ (links are in the comments below)

If you would like to volunteer, please sign up on the Sign Up Genius link below. If you can only make part of a shift, just include that in the sign up notes.

If you would like to donate a meal (for 60+ people) for any night in Feb, message us directly and I will add you to our calendar.

If anyone would like to donate money, please donate through the St. John's website and make sure to write in the note, "Winter overflow shelter."
