Redemption Rock Brewing was dreamed up on Sunday afternoons over the course of six, maybe seven, years in apartments in Jamaica Plain, Brighton, and Watertown. We drank homebrew and built color palettes and mood boards. We argued about brands and logos and beer styles. We wrote mission statements and lists of values and a business plan. We imagined the brewery we wanted to build. We dreamed, tinkered, and dreamed some more.
But one thing we never could've dreamed of: all the fu***ng incredible humans that worked here.
As soon as we opened, Redemption Rock immediately became something bigger than what we dreamed. It became theirs just as much as it was ours. Every aspect of this had their fingerprints on it, and the most wonderful parts of it were entirely a reflection of all their passion, creativity, hard work, and enormous hearts.
The hardest part of Redemption Rock closing is, by far, not being able to work alongside these people any longer. But the best part of this ever existing was watching friendship after friendship form for nearly six years. People found each other because of this, and there's nothing we'll cherish more than that. These friendships will be our legacy.
To everyone who ever worked here (including many who aren't pictured here - they know who they are!): thank you for being a part of this story, for believing in this, and making it as wonderful as it was. And to the final crew: thank you for fighting with us til the end. We're prouder of you all than we can ever say.
