Why batched?

We love offering the variety of a pourover while keeping the coffee bar flowing for all of your Joya’s Lattes, Cafe de Ollas, and Nitro Chais during our morning rush!

Are pourovers an all-day thing?

We make pourovers in limited quantities every day from 8AM-11AM(ish). After that, we’re all hands on deck for the lunch rush! 🏃‍➡️

What’s on pourover?

It rotates, so ask our service team and they’ll give you the full rundown!

Before you lock in your plans, we have some ideas:

🏃‍➡️🐔 Race to Joya’s after 3PM TODAY for one of our Whole Chickens: A tandoori smoked crown, chai-brined double-fried legs, murgi’r jhol just the way Joya likes it, schmaltz polao, two curries, chutneys, achars, and more food than your camera roll is ready for.

It’s limited, so get here quick (we know we’re not your Ma, but she would probably tell you to hurry!)

☕☀️ Stop by Saturday and fuel up for the Worthington Farmer’s market with a sidewalk-strolling coffee or keep the hype train going by letting us feed you after!

We’ll be getting our Bonus Menu on from 3-6PM with items like our Party Melt: a sandwich that somehow feels like a warm hug from a Korean ajjuma with sesame caramelized onions, pepperjack queso drip, cucumber kimchi zing, and shiso snap all melted into a legendary cross-section!

Our Smoked Wings and Pav Bhaji are joining the party too. 👀

What’s Roberto busy smoking? 👀

The beef for our Cheesy Double Crunch Tacos! 🌮

We cure three of our favorite cuts of beef for our soft, shredded taco filling: shank, cheek, and chuck (you could try saying that three times fast, but you’ll probably have more luck eating our tacos).

Then comes the smoke, partly because is always looking for an excuse to use the smoker, but mostly because we like what happens when wood-kissed depth meets the juiciness of a braise. 🔥🤤

Our braise starts with Chef ’s mom’s receta.

Charred guajillos add mild fruitiness and tang, and secret Oaxacan 🇲🇽 spices warm everything up before Avishar sneakily adds bonus Bengali 🇧🇩 masalas to earn double the familial approval.

One more ingredient is doing a lot without making a fuss: avocado leaf. 🥑

We almost forgot to mention this super special ingredient (ope!) because it does its job quietly, like a bay leaf: if you have it you won’t know it’s there, and if you don’t you’ll know something’s off. 🚨

Just like we don’t know who we’d be without Joya or Mama Bautista, our tender, juicy taco carne would not be the same without it!

Now that you know more about avocado leaf than you planned to today, Roberto has smoked-and-braised beef ready for your Cheesy Double Crunch Taco.

We’re looking for an AM Prep Cook to join our fam as we level up for the summer! 🐒

As a member of our prep team, you’ll set the kitchen up for success during service. Before anyone takes a bite of their JBS, Kati Roll, or Fried Rice, you’ve already helped make the day smoother, faster, tastier, and a little more Joy(a)-ful! 🌟

Here’s what we hope you bring:

– AM availability, 3-4 days/week (Thurs–Sun)
– Sharp attention to detail, timing, and cleanliness
– Respect for recipes, instructions, and food safety standards
– Solid kitchen experience and a dialed-in palate
– Curiosity for learning more efficient systems and knife techniques for consistent ex*****on
– Comfort working solo, with the team, and jumping in on the line when things get moving
– Clear communication, a fantastic attitude, and a great sense of humor

This is a part-time role with hourly base wage + shared service tips and complimentary shift meals.

What’s one kitchen tool you can’t live without?

We love woks because they can do a little bit of everything (deep frying, boiling, blanching, steaming, braising, roasting, smoking, etc.)!

Today, we put our newly seasoned wok to the test by frying an egg, and spoiler: it glides like any kai dao should. 🥚🌟

Imagine this: You are a crispy, well-spiced, zesty 🥔 bite emerging from a bubbling fryer.

You know a few things right away:

You know you were born from our fam’s fervent support for all things potato. You know your purpose is to hold your own as a side among the bold Bengali flavors at Joya’s. 🌶️🐒

You even know the name our fam chose for you: HASH PUPPY. 🐶

Then, doubt creeps in.

Deep in your fluffy core, you sense that you have a partner, a counterpart, a saucy soulmate, but for one brief moment you can’t name your companion.
