June 2007, I started my 15 year journey as Owner/Operator of LATTE DA..., a small Mom & Pop coffee
shop in the West York community, which I have grown to cherish. At that time I never realized what an impact Latte Da would have on my life...
•. I've watched young kids grow from hot
chocolates to latte loving adults. Talked about
their struggles and celebrated their successes.
•. I've met the most incredible people from around
the world while traveling, who just happened to
walk through my doors and listened to their
amazing stories...
*The young couple who "Walked Across
America" to raise awareness of the Homeless.
And I followed their blog through their
complete journey from New York to the Golden
Gate Bridge.
*The Musicians traveling all over the eastern
states' playing their music, but what was
amazing is they were riding bicycles pulling
their instruments behind them.
*The 60 - 70 year olds from Europe who took 3
months and rode their bicycles from
California to New York.
*There are too many stories to list them all but,
these people were so inspirational!
•The countless morning commuters stopping for their morning cup of Joe and always having a
fun quick chat.
•The "Saturday Morning Crew" and our competitions on standing coins on end and all the razzing that went with it.
•My "Week Day Crews" and some of the lively conversations and debates that we would get into!
Some of those conversations got pretty intense but we always laughed through them.
•Santa stopping every Christmas Eve for his coffee before his long flight and, if we'd been good
he would leave us a Chocolate Santa!
•Let's not forget my "Furry Friends", who knew they were coming to the coffee shop and waited
patiently for their treats.
•”FLAMINGOS".…. Who would've thought that Flamingos could be sooo much fun & bring so many
people together.
Thomas Long, Thank you for always willing to come perform for our "Flamingo Fridays"!
•The many friendships we would make along the way that touched my heart so completely! We've shared so much, the talks we had, the laughter we've shared and yes even the heartbreaks that brought us to tears, we've shared it all. Through it all you have been More than just a customer, you have been an extension of "my family"!
I truly love each & everyone that has touched my life!!
What I didn't envision is that everything must come to an end.
On June 30'*, 2022, the "Latte Da..." coffee shop will serve its last drinks. Please stop by and enjoy the coffee while it lasts. We will be hosting the final "Flamingo Friday" on June 17th, come join us if you can. I look forward to seeing everyone who has supported me through the years.
From the bottom of my heart, I Thank You greatly for your continued support & most importantly your
friendship!
