Alaska Cruise Summary
The trip of a lifetime
Day 1 – Seattle Departure 🚢
We started our Alaska adventure aboard the Cunard Queen Elizabeth.
As Seattle faded into the distance, the excitement finally became real. We spent the afternoon exploring the ship, settling into our cabin, and watching the coastline disappear beyond the horizon.
There is something special about sail away day—the anticipation of the unknown, the promise of adventure, and a week of making memories together.
Alaska bound ❤️
⸻
Day 2 – A Day at Sea 🌊
Today was all about slowing down and enjoying life at sea.
Morning coffee on the balcony. Long walks around the promenade deck. Afternoon tea. Watching endless ocean views drift by.
One of the things we love most about cruising is that sometimes the best days aren’t spent rushing from place to place—they’re spent simply enjoying the journey.
⸻
Day 3 – Wrangell, Alaska 🦅
Our first Alaskan port was the charming town of Wrangell.
Unlike some of the larger cruise destinations, Wrangell feels authentic and untouched. Eagles seemed to be everywhere, fishing boats lined the harbor, and the surrounding wilderness reminded us just how wild Alaska truly is.
A beautiful first glimpse of the Last Frontier.
⸻
Day 4 – Sitka, Alaska ⛰️
Surrounded by mountains and ocean, Sitka feels like a postcard come to life. The combination of Russian history, Native Alaskan culture, and incredible scenery makes it unlike anywhere we’ve ever been.
Every turn seemed to reveal another breathtaking view.
⸻
Day 5 – Ketchikan, Alaska 🐟
Colorful buildings, floatplanes overhead, and a lively waterfront welcomed us to Ketchikan today.
We wandered through town, explored local shops, and soaked in the rich culture and history that make Ketchikan so unique.
This town has a personality all its own and was an incredible place to spend the day.
⸻
Day 6 – Juneau, Alaska 🏔️
Towering mountains surrounded the harbor, reminding us once again that everything in Alaska seems bigger, grander, and more dramatic than anywhere else.
From the moment we stepped ashore, we were surrounded by stunning scenery and the kind of beauty that makes you stop and simply take it all in.
Juneau did not disappoint.
⸻
Day 7 – Endicott Arm 🐋❄️
A day we’ll remember forever.
Sailing through Endicott Arm felt like entering another world. Waterfalls cascaded down sheer cliffs. Icebergs floated past the ship. Every direction looked like a scene from a nature documentary.
Later that night, we stood at the bow watching for whales until nearly 11 PM before finally giving in to the cold and heading back inside.
A little later, we turned on the ship’s live bow camera and suddenly saw two whales playing directly in front of the ship.
We ran to our balcony.
There they were.
Two whales swimming right alongside us.
For several magical moments, they surfaced beside the ship before disappearing into the dark Alaskan waters.
Of all the incredible things we’ve seen on this trip, this was the moment that took our breath away.
⸻
Day 8- Sea Day
Day 9 – Victoria, British Columbia 🌸
Our final stop before returning home was beautiful Victoria.
After days of glaciers, mountains, and wilderness, Victoria offered beautiful gardens, historic buildings, and a relaxed coastal atmosphere.
It was the perfect final chapter to an unforgettable journey; with full hearts and memories we’ll be talking about for years.

Homeward Bound ❤️
As our Alaska cruise aboard the Queen Elizabeth comes to an end, we’re reflecting on an incredible week of adventure.
From Wrangell to Sitka, Ketchikan to Juneau, the glaciers of Endicott Arm, and our unforgettable whale encounter, every day brought something new and memorable.
The photos will help us remember the sights.
But it’s the moments—the laughter, the wonder, the quiet mornings at sea, and the whales swimming beside our balcony—that we’ll carry with us forever.
Until the next adventure. ❤️
