Many of you have asked, and many of you have assumed, but as of yesterday, it is official that the Kountry Kitchen on Main Street, a staple of Zelienople for as long as many of you remember, has closed it’s doors for good, and has been sold to become something new for the town.
There are truly no words to express our gratitude and the emotions that our family is feeling at this time. Whether you frequented the ZKK, or just dropped by if you could slip your way into the door, we appreciate you, and we hope you felt the same way we do, that there truly is no place like the Kountry Kitchen, a home away from home.
Whether it be the smell of bacon hot off the grill, your or your little one’s very first Mickey Mouse pancakes, or the chatter and laughter of the waitresses, cooks, and customers, all echoing through the aged walls, we hope your memories are happy ones, and that you have them to cherish forever, just like us.
So here we would like to say one last thank you, and one last, we love you, to our customers and each and every single employee we have had for the tremendous impact you made on the business and on our lives. You have made a living for our family, memories that will last a lifetime, and a true staple of Zelienople, what it was. We couldn’t have done it without you.
-The Adams’ Family
— Kevin Adams, Buyer of the building, business, and Owner of 32 years Kevin Adams
— Charlene Adams, wife of Kevin and Owner Charlene Burns Adams
— Megan Martin, daughter of the Owners
— And last but very not least, we would like to make a small tribute and recognition to Kevin Adams Jr., son of the Owners, who passed away unexpectedly in January of 2021. As many of you knew him, Kev, made his impact on the Kountry Kitchen, the way he made an impact on many lives. He spent the entirety of his life growing up with and alongside the Kountry Kitchen as it grew as a business, and “the restaurant” as we called it in our family, would not have been the same without Kev. He played a huge role in keeping the business running, always showing up to work, and always showing his personality when he didn’t have his headphones in (if you knew him, you know!) He truly loved the customers and the family that he worked with, and the restaurant would have never been the same without him. We love you, and you and the restaurant will forever be in our hearts, Kev.
Thank you all for everything ❤️
