1. What you will need
+ A coffee phin
+ Fresh and good-quality coffee grounds
+ Boiling water
+ Sugar or milk (optional)
2. Steps to brew the coffee

Step 1: Prepare the coffee phin

Rinse the coffee phin with warm water before use to remove any impurities that may affect the coffee’s taste.
Step 2: Add coffee grounds to the phin

Open the phin’s lid and pour a desired amount of coffee grounds into the phin, depending on your personal preference and the size of the phin.
Step 3: Compress the coffee grounds

Gently compress the coffee grounds inside the phin using the bottom of the phin’s lid. This helps the coffee grounds to blend evenly and slows down the water flow for a better extraction.
Step 4: Pour boiling water into the phin

Place the coffee phin on a suitable cup or glass.
Boil water until it reaches the boiling point, then slowly pour the boiling water into the phin. Wait for a few seconds to allow the coffee grounds to absorb the water before continuing.
Step 5: Wait for the coffee to drip through

To allow the coffee to fully infuse into the water, wait for a few minutes as the coffee drips through slowly, drop by drop. The dripping process may take a few minutes, depending on the type of coffee grounds and the water’s hardness.
Step 6: Enjoy your coffee

Once the coffee has finished dripping through the phin, you can add sugar or milk according to your personal taste.
