Wow!! I don’t even know what to say 🤍

The amount of love and encouragement you’ve shown over the last couple of days has been incredible.

I’ve tried to reply to as many comments as I can, but if I haven’t gotten to yours yet, please know I’ve read every single one.

To everyone who liked, commented, shared the announcement, or started following along on this journey… thank you. It honestly means so much.

I think one of the things that’s been most exciting is seeing how many people are already cheering Dreamy Desserts and Designs on before we’ve even opened the doors. It makes me feel so thankful to be part of such a supportive community, and I can’t wait to create something special for all of you.

And to all of my new followers… welcome! 🩷

Dreamy Desserts and Designs started with custom cakes, and somewhere along the way they became my favourite thing to create. Even though the storefront will bring coffee, mini cakes, cupcakes, brownies, and lots of other goodies, custom cakes will always be the heart of Dreamy Desserts. There’s just something so special about getting to create cakes that become part of your birthdays, weddings, baby showers and all of life’s celebrations.

Well… it’s official. 🩷

Today, I signed the lease for the future home of Dreamy Desserts and Designs on Water Street.

To say I’m excited would be an understatement.

There are still lots of details to figure out before opening day, and the transformation is just beginning, but I can’t wait to share this journey with you as it all starts taking shape. Over the next little while, I’ll be sharing updates of the process!

Over the past few months, I’ve learned that it’s true what they say; sometimes when one door closes, another opens to something you never imagined. This isn’t the path I thought I’d be on, but looking back, I can see so many little moments that led here.

Through it all, we’ve trusted God to guide us one step at a time, and He has placed some truly incredible people in our path to encourage us, open doors, answer questions, and help make this dream feel possible. From family and friends, to new business partners, local business owners, the team at CBDC, town staff, an incredibly supportive landlord, and everyone in between, I’m so thankful for every person who has believed in this dream and helped us take the next step.

A special thank you goes to my husband. When I told him I wanted to open a bakery, his response wasn’t, “Are you sure?” or “That’s a big risk.” It was simply, “You’ll be great at whatever you choose to do.” He’s been beside me through every meeting, every decision, every late-night conversation, and every little victory along the way. Getting to chase this dream with my soulmate by my side makes this journey even more meaningful, and I couldn’t ask for a better partner to do life with.

And thank you to my Uncle Gary. You planted the idea that Dreamy Desserts could become a storefront long before I believed I could do it myself. I’m so thankful you saw the possibility and encouraged me to take that first step.

My hope is that Dreamy Desserts and Designs becomes more than just a bakery. I hope it’s a place where people can stop in for a treat, celebrate life’s biggest moments, or just leave with a smile, feeling like their day was made just a little better

Thank you to everyone who has supported this little business over the years. Every order, every kind word, every share, and every bit of encouragement has meant more than you’ll ever know. I truly wouldn’t be here without you.

It’s only a few seconds, but it gives a little glimpse of the painting and piping before everything came together. I always enjoy seeing the process just as much as the finished cake. 🤍

I love making cakes that represent the things that mean the most to the recipient and turning it into edible art!

The traditional tattoos, the teal border, the cherries on top, I loved everything about it and how it all tied together 💙

A treasured china pattern, reimagined in buttercream. 🌹✨

Every floral detail on this cake was hand-painted with edible colour to match the birthday girls favourite china set for a very special 70th birthday. These meaningful, one-of-a-kind designs are always such an honour to create.

Peanut butter lovers, this one is for you 🥜

Peanut butter cake, peanut butter frosting and peanut butter drip 💛🤎

This flavour is not on my regular menu but I took it as a special request for one of my customers, and it smelled so heavenly the whole time!

Maybe we should add this one to our Dreamy and Decadent line??
