A rare sighting at Miru Amami. 🌿
The Akashobin (Ruddy Kingfisher) is one of Amami's most elusive summer visitors. While its beautiful call echoes through our property at dawn and dusk, this deeply shy bird rarely shows itself in the open.

Yet, on this special day, it graced us with a rare appearance. In Amami, this bird is known by another name—Amagoi-dori, the rain-calling bird. As the clouds gather, we wonder if it is about to bring a gentle island rain.

Its call is unmistakable. Listen closely. 🎵
