Come along to celebrate what we've achieved together, hear about our plans for the year ahead, and share your ideas for the continued development of Glendalough, Laragh and the surrounding area.

We'll be:
✅ Reviewing the past year's achievements
✅ Presenting our annual financial statements
✅ Electing the Board of Directors
✅ Sharing priorities for the year ahead
✅ Inviting your ideas and feedback

🌿 We're also looking for new Board members!

We're particularly keen to hear from people with a passion for or experience in:

🏛️ Cultural event planning and community engagement

We're delighted to be hosting this free CarePALs training here at Brockagh Resource Centre this November.

If you work in a day or residential care setting, this is a fantastic opportunity to gain the skills and confidence to lead physical activity sessions for older adults.

Want to bring physical activity into your care setting’s weekly routine?

In partnership with the HSE, Age & Opportunity Active is hosting a free CarePALs workshop in Laragh this November. This training empowers day and residential care staff to lead suitable physical activities with the older people who live in or visit their setting.

👥 Who is this for?
- Care Staff: Anyone currently working in a day or residential care setting.
- No Experience Needed: You don't need any prior background in leading physical activities!
- Employer Support: Your employer must commit to letting you lead these activity sessions back in your setting after the training.

📈 What to Expect:
- Lead with Confidence: Learn to lead regular Health Enhancing Physical Activity (HEPA) sessions for older people of all abilities.
- Understand the Benefits: Increase your awareness of the social, psychological, and physical benefits of movement for older adults.
- Enhance Health: Improve the overall health of the older people in your care.
- Peer Connection: Network and share ideas with other local care professionals.

😎What a fantastic day at our Glendalough Community Car Boot Sale & Market last Sunday!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us on Sunday - our wonderful traders, visitors and everyone who supported the event. It was great to see so many people enjoying the stalls, homemade baking, delicious hot food and, of course, picking up plenty of bargains!
