Dear Family, Friends, and Kind Supporters,
We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to every single person who has reached out with love, prayers, and financial support for our precious Leané.
We are relieved and thankful to share that the surgery went well. Leané’s eyesight has improved, and although we still have a long road to full recovery, we are incredibly grateful for the progress she has made. She continues to experience some pain and discomfort but knowing that she is healing gives us immense hope. Throughout this journey, we have met very special people who have taught us truly meaningful lessons in life, and your kindness means the world to us.
Words cannot express how much your care and compassion have meant to us during this challenging time. Every prayer, message of encouragement, and contribution has made a difference and given us strength when we needed it most. We have witnessed a miracle unfold before our eyes, and we are beyond grateful. These past three weeks have taught us so much. The support and love surrounding us have shown us how truly blessed we are.

Urgent Appeal for Leané Van Jaarsveld
Without medical aid and still paying off previous medical bills, the cost of Leané’s treatment is far beyond their means.
On 28 October 2025, despite her poor vision, Leané bravely completed her first school exam. The very next day, 29 October 2025, before she could start her second paper, her world changed completely — she lost her eyesight entirely and was in excruciating pain.
The specialist urgently referred Leané to a neurosurgeon in Alberton. By 19:20 that same evening, she was examined again. The neurosurgeon confirmed that the tumour had ruptured, and emergency surgery was needed on 30 October 2025. The estimated cost, including hospital fees, is R250000.
We are praying for a miracle and trusting that God will provide the means for Leané to receive the urgent care she desperately needs. Over the past year, Marlene herself has faced serious health and financial challenges.
Marlene is the sole provider for her small household of three — Leané, herself, and Susan (grandmother), who is currently unemployed. Marlene has always devoted herself to giving Leané love, safety, and stability. Now, she is once again fighting to save her daughter from a life-threatening medical condition. If anyone truly deserves our support, it is Marlene. She has always put others first, never hesitating to do what is right, even at great personal sacrifice.
