Restaurants are known for
being one of the hardest businesses to get into. Everyone knows it, so it always surprises me how little grace people extend to them.
The cost of gas affects the cost of ingredients. Rent, labor, insurance, food cost, taxes - there is no magic button to press when everything goes up. Prices reflect reality, not greed.
A slow Tuesday can wipe out a strong weekend, a thoughtless comment lands differently when someone has put everything they have into something. A bad review can mean less business, and less business means less hours for a hard-working staff. The risk and stress is real, and it never goes away.
If you love a restaurant, support it. Leave a positive review, order catering, go for lunch, show up on a weekday when it's slower, support them however you can.
Because you don't want to drive past one day and realize it's gone.🚕🚗🚙
