The Original House
Medley House was built in 1906 as the residence of the Brakpan Gold Mines' General Manager and borders on the Royal Oak Golf Course. This lovely Victorian home, banqueting hall and pub hosted numerous parties. It became the hub of the wealthy mining glitterati at the time

In the 70's after the closure of the mine it became a restaurant "The Peppercorn" once again an icon on th

e East Rand. At first it was used as a family home, but gradually turned into the East Rand's Premier Banqueting Centre, Conference Venue and Guest Lodge. Today Medley House specializes in Weddings, Conferences and Banqueting. The Guest Lodge has 11 apartments including magnificent honeymoon suites. There are 3 venues to chose from. Catering for groups as large as 180 guests, while the property has 2 chapels, fully stocked pubs, complete catering facilities and guarded secure parking.
