A proud moment for Team Urchin.

Chef Marcus has been selected as Head Technical Coach for the National Junior Team, leading the country's first team trials on the road to the 2026 Culinary World Cup in Luxembourg.

Over the coming months, he'll be working closely with South Africa's next generation of chefs—identifying talent, mentoring competitors, and helping shape a team ready to represent the nation on the world stage.

This first phase is all about building the foundation: team briefings, competition regulations, menu planning, strategy, and intensive practice. While the competition dishes remain confidential, the work happening behind the scenes is already setting the stage for what's to come.
