We're serving matcha. But not just any matcha. 🍵

We weren't interested in adding matcha simply because it was trending. We wanted to find one that felt right for Honest.

That's why we've partnered with our good friend Jess Bonin from The Alchemy of Tea to bring 100% first flush Japanese matcha to our chocolate cafés, specifically blended for a premium matcha latte. Ethically sourced, beautifully prepared and made to be enjoyed slowly.

Every wrapper tells a story, and with our limited edition Artist Range slabs, we were honoured to share Studio 99Perspective | Sinenhlanhla Chauke’s. 🍫

His bold illustrations are inspired by the women who shaped his life, and celebrate the beauty found in everyday moments. Every detail on the wrapper has a meaning, inviting you to look a little closer. Inside, this 54% oat mylk chocolate is creamy, dairy-free and sweetened with coconut blossom sugar for gentle caramel notes and a rich finish.

What started as a simple idea has grown into something truly special. 🤍

In just two sold-out events, The Good Table has welcomed 140 guests and raised over R30 000 for Ladles Of Love South Africa, helping provide meals to communities in need.

Now we're getting ready to gather around the table once again. Expect great food, good wine, fresh bread, meaningful conversations and a room full of people coming together for a good cause where every ticket helps make a difference.

These little pieces of roasted cacao bean are where it all begins. Crunchy, intensely chocolatey, and packed with rich flavour, they're one of the purest ways to experience cacao and how you can enjoy our chocolate in its most honest form.

If you've ever wondered how we make our chocolate, join us at our Woodstock factory for our Chocolate Workshop on Saturday, 18 July, where you'll get a behind-the-scenes look into our bean to bar chocolate. 🍫

You'll get the chance to taste our handcrafted range, learn about ethically sourced cacao, and take home your own chocolate slab.

What a night 🤎

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our first The Good Table, and to our incredible partners The Gin Bar, Bodega Ramen, Lomond Wine and silobakery and .digital for helping bring it to life.

Together, we raised R16,000 for Ladles Of Love South Africa, helping support their work feeding communities across Cape Town.

70 guests. One long table. Plenty of soup, wine, chocolate, and great conversation.

This winter, surfers and swimmers can enjoy a free brownie when you order any hot beverage from our cafe in de Kalkery, all day from Monday to Friday. The catch? Just make sure you show us you've taken the plunge - wet hair, wet towel or a wetsuit count! 🌊

One of the most important steps in making great chocolate? Tempering. 🍫

Tempering is the process of carefully heating and cooling chocolate to stabilise the cocoa butter crystals. It might sound technical, but it's what gives our chocolate that smooth texture, glossy finish, and satisfying snap when you break a piece off.

Without tempering, chocolate can become dull, soft, or develop a white coating known as bloom.

As a bean-to-bar chocolate maker, we temper every batch by hand as part of our production process in our Woodstock factory. It's one of those behind-the-scenes steps that takes time and attention, but makes all the difference in the final bar.
