💔 The Hardest Goodbye – But Not the End 💔
This is one of the hardest posts I’ve ever had to write… After 7 incredible years, it’s time to say goodbye to Kaylee’s. As we enter our final weeks, I’m feeling all the emotions, gratitude, nostalgia, and most of all, love for this incredible community that has made Kaylee’s what it is.
Life is taking me on a new adventure to Cape Town, and while this decision wasn’t easy, I know it’s time to move on. But here’s the good news—this isn’t the end for plant-based options!
Comic Café (the new business taking over) will be keeping some of our favourite dishes on their menu, so you’ll still have delicious vegan options to choose from when you visit (keep an eye on their social media for their launch)
Even better? The amazing team you’ve come to love is staying. ❤️ They understand veganism inside and out, so you can rest assured that they’ll continue to serve up your favourites with the same passion and care.
To my incredible customers, my phenomenal team, and everyone who has supported me on this journey—thank you. Kaylee’s has been more than just a restaurant. It’s been a home, a community, and a place where we proved that plant-based food can be delicious, exciting, and accessible. I am beyond grateful for the impact we’ve made together in the vegan world, and I couldn’t have done it without all of you.
We’ve got until 7 April together, so please come by, say hi (and goodbye), grab a meal, and let’s celebrate everything we’ve built. This isn’t just the end of an era—it’s the start of a new chapter.
With all my love and gratitude,
Kaylee ❤️
