All of us went through so many different experiences and emotions when confronted in 2020 with the huge upheaval caused by Covid-19. My experience was to end a chapter in my life which was immensely dear to me - I had to close Polka Restaurant. I will be forever grateful to the Van Jaarsveld family who believed in me and offered me an amazing opportunity to live out my dream. I did not write this

chapter alone - so many of you cheered me on and supported me through the 7 years at Polka. Through all the difficult months many of you still ordered food from my home kitchen & bought the Ava&Ellie products at our local Spar. From 2021 till now I was privileged to be part of the exciting inception of OK Express at the new Botha's Garage, while still running my home kitchen. This kitchen has reached its limit and I had to make a huge decision to be able to manage the growing demands of my faithful customers . . . I am so excited to announce that we will start a new chapter at Coldstream Restaurant from the 1st of August 2022!

🚧 DRIVERS BEWARE – THRU THE KAROO | 21 FEBRUARY 2026 🚧

Please note that runners will be making use of the R63 during the Thru The Karoo Marathon. Everything in our power has been done to ensure a safe race environment.

🕠 Running Time: 5:30AM – 11:30AM

📍 Markers are measured from the Botanics Club in Graaff-Reinet.

🏃‍♂️ Route Highlights:
• 42.2KM Marathon Start
• 21.1KM Half Marathon Start
• 10KM Turnaround
• 16KM Trail Run Road Usage Section
• All distances finish in Graaff-Reinet (Botanics)

We kindly ask all motorists to drive cautiously, reduce speed, and be patient while supporting our runners on race day. Your cooperation helps keep everyone safe 🙌
