Meet Clinton Croft and Tammy Croft – the owners, creators, and slightly sleep-deprived faces behind The Tin Roof brand.
After spending nine years living abroad, we returned home and, in 2023, took a leap of faith and opened The Tin Roof. What started as a dream quickly became a passion project built on family, community, and creating a place where people can gather, relax, and make memories.
The first photo is us looking calm and collected. The second photo? That's a far more accurate picture of what life is really like running restaurants! 😂
Clinton brings with him a lifetime of experience in the hospitality industry, having managed multiple large corporate restaurant brands both locally and internationally. His passion for food, operations and creating memorable guest experiences has been shaped by years spent learning from some of the best in the business.
As a family-owned business, we wear many hats. We're the owners, managers, marketers, problem-solvers, taste-testers and sometimes even the dishwashers. There isn't a big corporate team behind The Tin Roof – it's just us, our incredible staff and a whole lot of heart.
Supporting our community is incredibly important to us. We proudly source as much as possible from local Hartbeespoort suppliers, including our milk, fresh vegetables, meat and coffee beans. By supporting local businesses, we hope to give back to the community that has embraced us so warmly.
We believe that restaurants are about more than food. They are about people, connection and community. We are proud to call Hartbeespoort home and are grateful every day for the support we receive from locals and visitors alike.
The Tin Roof is more than just a restaurant. It's a place built by family, for families. A place where friends become regulars, where kids play while parents relax, and where every meal is served with gratitude. It is the back drop of your special memories.
