Sorry for the non meat eaters - but an amaizing day was had at Open Kitchen today - full house with people enjoying food and drink, as a Christmas day should be. To all of you reading this, may you have had a blessed day! We are done for the year, looking forward to see you next year with all the plans we have up our sleeve!!!!!

Yes, we are open for pizzas tonight. Rumour has it the Mamma Christmas and the kids (and beleive me, they actually had a lot of kids - he only works one day a year, and they had no tv) was sent out by Father Christmas for pizza because he was so busy and neglected them on Christmas day. That's what I heard.

Nobody is allowed to comment on our ugly pink tent! She is very sensitive, having brought me, family and friends shade relief through many a camping trip, AfrikaBurn and Up The Creek Music Festival over the last 8 years when shade was of the essence. (For those that has been, you will understand) A temporary measure at Open Kitchen until we sort out how we are going to cover the stoep again after the winter storms we had. But for now, there is shade to keep the beer colder and the patrons happier.

Got a couple of requests around the rugby - YES, we will be showing the Lions vs Sharks game at 19h00. Bar opens at 15h00, kitchen at 16h00. Wings and steak "game special" is on - whole day, and of course full menu as per usual. Don't forget our kiddies menu and play area!

We sold these bad boys out last weekend on the first night, new ones in the oven! Lamb shank at it's best. Open today from 16h00, tomorrow from 15h00 - and do not forget Christmas day feast, book early to avoid disappointment, we will not take in walk-ins unfortunately on Christmasday!
