NOTICE: Well wishes and Main Branch closure
It is indeed with sadness we announce the closure of what was meant to be our Headquarters in Phuthaditjhaba. DTM Café is officially permanently closed in Phuthas. The sadness though is not alone... There's an incredible amount of pride, joy, experiences, memories and lessons in the nine and a half months we were open.
For one, we had waited over a decade to own/start a restaurant... Now there is definitely no rush for the second attempt...
It indeed was a journey and a half, even though we never did get the whole plan off the ground (business and community center, online shop etc.) Again, plenty of lessons learnt as we continue the very same plan from other locations...
One lesson that sticks out is the reality rather than the ideals... We above all learnt of the number of people who turned out to be pretentious, a life lesson my business partner/co-owner and I are grateful for.
Without question we would have loved to succeed at the Phuthaditjhaba branch, but it has also lessened a load. On the same note we thank one and all that supported in any way and form, we certainly still appreciate it...
The DTM brand will, and is, still alive with only the angle changing to going back to street-food where it all started and build up slowly...
We wish you all (including haters) a most prosperous year ahead... filled with joy and abundance...
Again...thank you for your support thus far as we slowly build up again with no pressure...
