What an incredible last service at HLS. Many stories shared, and lots of love. Jacqi would be happy. Cheers. 🥂

For those who don't know, you will still be able to have all the HLS favourites, just not in the building. Anél has inherited the name and she will be continuing from her kitchen at home.
Keep an eye on our socials where she will share details very soon.

I am so proud of Anél and Suemena for keeping HLS going, all on their own.

Next week at this time we would've had our last service in the HLS building. Once again we are proud that we could continue for a little longer.

We are fully booked for our last service at lunch on 25 January. We will make it a great one. Might need tissues, but excited about spending it with really special people, sharing memories and celebrating 29 years of Hook Line & Sinker.

UPDATE
Last service on Saturday 25/1 will be lunch.
It will be the normal lunch fare, including our famous salad and Creme Brulee.
We will also have two other favourites available, our delicious mussels and our special fish soup.

and ask her if you have any other special requests.
This is not easy, and we would love it if we could do a cheers on all the memories with you.

As we get ready to welcome 2025, we reflect back on the past year, Jacqi's illness and passing in February, and also the news we had to share with you about HLS closing its doors on 25 January. It was a tough year, but also many wonderful times shared with our guests, old and new. We wish you only the best and thank you for the memories.

Dear friends and supporters of HLS over the last 27 years.

It is with heavy hearts that we have to inform you that the last service at HLS will be on 25.01.25, whereafter the doors will close forever.

Jacqi was HLS, and HLS was Jacqi. We, her family, are grateful that we could continue to honour her legacy for a little longer, after her passing in February this year.

You are welcome to WA Anél for bookings up until 25 January.

We will miss HLS and our precious guests very much. We will remember all the good times, and hopefully, in time, forget the tough times.

And so ends an era...but nothing can erase the memories.
