Food….Like Your Mama Made It

It all began from humble beginnings when owner Dino Vlachos saw a need in the market for what he called “Greek Street food done right.”
His journey started with his love for Greek food, the sophisticated culture, the upbeat atmosphere and the quality ingredients that he believed was key to solidifying a place in the market by exposing the local South African community

to something unique. After a lot of exploration, he was ready to open his first single stall at Maboneng’s Market on Main. A neighbourhood eatery, where individuality is celebrated and where everyone who walked in was family. To truly create, great food experiences, meant that there was no centralized kitchen. This meant that every dish would be freshly prepared to order, made using the finest fresh ingredients and served with a personal touch. He believed that this was Greek street food at its best. Today Soul Souvlaki has expanded to 8 stores, each distinctive in its own design and uniquely on trend. A space that breathes memorable experiences with food that is simple & wholesome, surrounded by people who are entrenched in our beliefs.
