Senior Restaurant Manager - Stellenbosch, Western Cape
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Senior Restaurant Manager to lead our craft beer and gin restaurant, known for great vibes and quality food. This role requires a strong leader with excellent operational, financial, and people-management skills, and a passion for exceptional food and service.
Key Responsibilities
Full restaurant operations management
Menu costing and price structuring
Stock control, ordering, and supplier management
Staff rosters, scheduling, and shift management
HR administration, staff discipline, and compliance
Recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing staff training
Development of new food and beverage menus in collaboration with the Director
Ensuring outstanding customer service and client satisfaction
Handling customer queries, complaints, compliments and operational issues professionally and efficiently
Maintaining hygiene, health & safety, and operational standards
Managing budgets, wastage, and cost controls
Requirements
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior restaurant or hospitality management role
Strong experience in management, menu costing and stock control
Solid understanding of craft beer and gin is highly advantageous
Proven leadership and people-management skills
Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Strong organisational and communication skills
Experience with POS systems
Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and hands-on
Own transport preferred
