At the foot of the Waaihoek Mountain, situated in the beautiful Breede Valley, BOSJESis the perfect hideaway. With steep mountain ranges on both sides and the Breede River that winds through the valley, it is one of those tranquil, off the beaten track places, rich in history and natural splendour. Visitors to BOSJES will find the journey (just over an hour from Cape Town) well worth it, just to s
ee the KAPEL (chapel), an award winning architectural masterpiece, and to enjoy the landscaped KAPEL gardens. The hiking trails (also open to day visitors from Wed-Sun) offer a chance to view the game (quagga, springbok, giraffe & other non predator species) and abundant bird life and to revel in the exquisite gardens that surround all parts of the farm. BOSJES is an historic working farm where fine wines complement the local olive oil, and where masses of proteas are cultivated in the surrounding fields. Mouth-watering meals and home treats spoil guests in KOMBUIS, a family- friendly fine dining bistro, the Spens deli, the Teetuin and the luxury accommodation at Die Skuur. We don’t allow dogs due to breeding ducks that wander the property. No food may be brought in from outside.
