🌳 Sweet Forest 🍯 Sweet Honey 🎯 Sweet Impact
What if preserving forests is perceived more valuable than cutting it down for a quick buck?
That’s what we want to explore with our honey initiative.
But why is this even a question? Charcoal production is a burning threat to the forest and its biodiversity. It’s a common practice for increasing incomes of subsistence farmers. The negative side effect? A major driver of deforestation in Zambia. That’s the reason we’ve placed a dozen of beehives in the Miombo woodland, turning trees into long-term income, saving them from becoming firewood. Instead of cutting, we’re cultivating. Instead of firewood, we’re pollinating, preserving, and producing.
🍯 How bees are making a difference:
✅ Charcoal production is one of the main drivers of deforestation. By taking care of the hives, we protect native, slow-growing, and ecologically vital Miombo forests. At the same time, it offers communities a sustainable and profitable alternative to charcoal production.
✅ Every hive supports a household income: We partner with families to manage and harvest honey, creating jobs while fostering forest stewardship.
✅ Bees bring biodiversity back: Their pollination benefits nearby crops, plants, and wild forest species. Every hive becomes a ripple of regeneration.
🐝 ✨ Bonus Buzz:
One day, we dream of coffee honey: A light, floral, and a sweet delicacy, drawn from the very flowers that bloom on our coffee trees.
For now, we’re proud of the quiet, sustainable change humming in the forest, sweet returns without felling a single tree
