We are so proud to serve this neighborhood, and your wonderful support is what keeps our doors open every day. Now that we’ve worked hard to bring the lottery back to the village, we are humbly asking for your help to make it a success.
We know it is easy to buy tickets online or grab them while you are out at the major shopping centers, but we are kindly asking if you could choose to buy them locally with us instead.

Hello Everyone
I would like to share an incident about this morning.

The morning began with an unexpected chill—not from the weather, but from words. For the first time since living here, I faced the harshness of a racist remark. In a neighborhood I love so dearly, surrounded by people who have always been wonderful, it felt like an uninvited shadow on my day. My heart felt heavy, and the stress lingered as I unlocked the doors and went through the motions of my daily routine.
Then, thirty minutes into the quiet morning, a homeless man walked into the store.
He didn’t come to take anything; he simply walked to the end of an aisle, sat down on the floor, and began to cry. Deep, heartbreaking tears.
Unsure of what to do but unable to ignore his pain, I walked over. "Are you okay?" I asked. The tears kept falling. I brought him a bottle of water and some chips, offering what comfort I could, but gently asked him to move outside so the customers could shop. He quietly agreed, stepped out, and fell asleep on the sidewalk.
What happened next reminded me of why I love this place.
First, three ladies came into the store, asking if the man outside was alright.
Then, another woman walked in. She picked up a sandwich and a couple of drinks, brought them to the counter, and said, "He won’t be able to pay for this, so I will." In that exact moment, the heavy cloud over my morning completely vanished. The sting of the earlier insult was washed away by a wave of pure kindness. My heart felt instantly lighter, lifted by the grace of a stranger.
We live in a world where a single moment of hate can shake us, but a collective chorus of love will always steady us. To the lady who bought that meal, and to the neighbors who cared—thank you.
What a truly wonderful, beautiful community we have here. ❤️
