I’ve (Sami) been thinking lately about the power of small things. I’m a dreamer and I get excited thinking about big picture stuff. But then I think about what has made all the difference in my life lately- and it’s been the little things. I’m home usually with my one year old and three year old and it’s been the meal a friend drops off, my sisters babysitting for a couple hours while I nap, my mom making my favorite soup, a coffee date or a big hug. It’s being excited for the cold foam on my iced latte tomorrow and someone asking me how my kids are sleeping, knowing they really care. It has me excited again about the coffee shop and the way we get to be a “little thing” in your day. Maybe a latte, maybe a quick catch-up, or a cookie and a smile on a hard day. That’s why we’re here. ❤️

Meet Olivia! We’re excited to have her join the herd at G.O.A.T. ☺️
“My favourite drink is either an Iced Chai Latte or a Blended Chai!
A life goal of mine is to travel to as many places as I can. I’m hoping to go to Europe next year!
I love hiking and plan to spend time doing so this summer :) I also enjoy baking and painting in my free time! I’ve always loved watercolour but have recently started taking oil painting classes!
What I enjoy most about being a barista is definitely talking with customers, and getting to know the regulars. The sense of community and connection is something that has always drawn me to GOAT.”

Meet Sierra! She is a joy to be around and sure to make you feel welcome the moment you walk through the door ✨
I asked Sierra a few questions about who she is and this is what she said!
“My favourite drink is hands down a white chocolate hazelnut latte.
I love barista life because there’s so many ways you can connect with people and show them how much you care. Not just making drinks and being with the sweetest gals ever, but also being in an environment like GOATS that’s supportive of us freely sharing our radiance for Jesus, connecting with the customers and asking about their life’s story.
I love anything with nature. You show me a pretty sunset, a waterfall, mountains, or point out sunshine on the flower petals, and we’ll be friends for life. I can lie by myself in the middle of the woods with just a notebook and a blanket for hours- content.
One of my biggest dreams was to work in a coffee shop, but since I’m living that out already, the next closest are travelling Europe, volunteering in Africa at an orphanage, and publishing the poetry book I’ve started.

A little moment of appreciation for our lovely and creative potter- Theresa Theresa Nelson is a Camrose local, never failing to delight us with her handmade and unique designs. Feels like Christmas each time we get to open a box full of new mugs!
