More on the incredible work of our team, family, and friends are working on daily, so that we have a beautiful space to share with you. Still much to do but hopefully next week the contractor will be finished so we can call on inspectors and apply for liquor lisence.

Still awaiting contractors to finalize projects so we can schedule inspections. Taking longer than anticipated. Our team has been diligently addressing numerous details and is eager to launch. Lots of unpacking to be conpleted as well as major cleanup in the next week. Opening date remains undefined. Thank you so much to Scott & Leanne Irvine for all the support to get the new location completed. We can hardly wait to serve them and all their amazing staff and customers.

Getting closer. The team pulled boards from an old barn to cleanup to put on our walls. Thank you Frankie, Jimmy, Dale and Wanda as we did an amazing job. 🫶👏👏👏👏

Everyday brings us closer to opening in crossfield. I can’t express enough how much my appreciation for my team (Jimmy, Frankie and Alex when available as well as the Irvine’s, means to me. The kindness to help us get to this new opportunity reminds me of the friends that supported us in Calgary.
We are missing being of service to the community and hope that we will see of our friends again.

Update.
As we completed the gutting of our special little Angels building on Friday and the dismantling of our beautiful deck this weekend, we wanted to reach out to THANK EVERYONE that showed up to get the impossible complete.
WE ARE SO BLESSED to have many beautiful friends. Over 20 showed up yesterday. Some have shown up daily to help our amazing team . We are so happy that the weather has warmed up. There are too many to name, but you know who you are. 🫶🫶🫶🫶
In a turn of events, late Friday afternoon, we had received a call from the city and there has been a change of direction. Originally it was cash for keys offer, then just go away or pay. They have decided to remove and store our building, then return it to us in the next 2-3 years. They also given us the last 5 years back. We are still working to see what else is possible, as the expense has been tremendously high and to rebuild will be the same.
This a big win for our Angel’s cafe and our community. Your heartfelt letters and voices were heard. To our political allies that helped and Mike Jamison/Roy Beyer ward 12, thank you for having the back of our communities. I wish our own ward councillor and mayor would have reached out but not a peep, very disappointing.
We will be building anew with the help of the Irvine family out at the Crossfield at Irvine Tack and Western Wear. We know it’s a travel but when we are ready in the near future to do what Angel’s is best known for, I hope you will join us.
Once again we rise above the HATE with LOVE. This is how we change our world. WE SO LOVE YOU ALL. You have showed our team at the deepest levels, what it means to live in the love of our community.

To my Rockstar team, Frankie, Jimmy, Alex and husband Dale. You are the best I could ever wish for as well as our long time friends that work alongside us. Special thank you to JOHN GARDEN who has stepped up as our project manager in the back ground and thank you to our Lawyer Jordan who helped us sooo much. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 WE WILL BE BACK and have two amazing locations. The world will look very different in 2-3 years.

Hello dear friends, I have received so many private messages checking in on the team, myself and family. Yes, we are OK, we are still processing, and some days are challenging a little more than others. We’re not sure what the future holds, but hope for a positive result, in any direction is what we hold to be potential. We are working through lawyers to see what is possible period. All your amazing beautiful letters have filled our hearts, and I’ve created a beautiful file for my team to read. If anybody made comments of an experience that they’d like to share for our team, please feel free to send your letter to us by [email protected].
