Wiener Schnitzel Haus was started in the Fall of 2004 as a unique addition to Calgary’s restaurant scene. We are a family operated initiative and pride ourselves in serving high quality, authentic and homemade food. Our passion for the Austrian cuisine and the country itself is our inspiration for passing on our own enjoyment of the food to you; the guest. Our focus remains on preparing each dish,

with the sincerity of house made cooking and the best ingredients.

“Schnitzel” is a cutlet,not a sausage. It was first to be prepared among the households of commoners, tracing its roots back to the 16th century. It soon became Austria’s recognized dish all over the country; Throughout the rise of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, the popularity thereof grew as the meal was prepared for royals of the Empire; for special dinners and gatherings, becoming Austria’s famous and internationally recognized meal.
