After 6 incredible years, it’s time for new beginnings. ❤️
It’s hard to believe it’s been 6 years since we first started the process of opening the cafe. Looking back, it kinda feels like yesterday. What started as a small idea has grown into something we could have never imagined, and we are endlessly grateful for our incredible staff, every customer, regular, friend and supporter who helped make Labour Day Picnic what it is today.
Everything you know and love about the cafe will be staying the same. As we put more of our energy back into Lure Caramel (which will be staying right where it is - in house!), we’re excited to have the time to dream up new ideas, make more fun things, and grow the brand in ways we haven’t been able to before.
We’re also so excited for the future of the cafe with Leah Coodin as the new owner (more to come about that!). She has lots of exciting ideas and plans for what’s ahead, and having someone with so much industry experience leading the next chapter is sure to be something really special.
This cafe and the community that we have built here has meant so much to us, and while it’s bittersweet to say goodbye, we’re incredibly excited for what’s ahead, both for us and for the future of the cafe.
