Olive Brine in an Old Fashioned…? 🤔
You wouldn’t think it, but yes, olive brine does work and should belong in an Old Fashioned. The simplest way of putting it - it seasons the cocktail beautifully. We smoke our castlevatrano olives with applewood which creates more depth of umami and notes that pair well with the whisky, as well as the Kokuto (that’s fancy Japanese black sugar - think malty brown sugar with more alkaline notes)
The garnish is a piece of chocolate that brings all the flavours together, and let’s face it, you deserve something special too.
