We cook the food we as chefs love to eat: Fun, rewarding, delicious, unpretentious recipes made from scratch with great attention to detail. The food at 2 Doors Down follows the same culinary DNA as our sister restaurant Chives Canadian Bistro. We believe a burger is not just a ground beef sandwich. n history. A meatball can be magical! The simplest and most familiar dishes can be prepared in a way that commits them to memory. We approach our beverage program in a similar way we approach food: Delicious, fun and simple. We’ve sourced the coolest wine, beer, and spirits we could find from far-and-near. We believe our guests appreciate that approach. The2 Doors Down wine list has been assembled to showcase small lot and unique wines of affordable value from our own backyard and around the world. Our bar is stocked with aged bourbons, rums, and ryes that we have hand selected to feature each spirit’s unique quality. In addition, we will be featuring only locally brewed craft beers on tap showcasing the best of Nova Scotia. Our lists are eclectic and fun with a focus on value. We want to share some important news regarding our Halifax location of 2 Doors Down Food and Wine. After careful consideration, we have entered into a formal agreement to sell the restaurant, and it will officially close as of January 1st, 2026, with our last service being NYE 2025.

This chapter holds so many memories—first dates, family celebrations, nights filled with laughter, and everyday moments that became part of our story. Halifax welcomed us with warmth from the very beginning, and we are endlessly grateful.

We also want to thank every staff member who has been part of 2 Doors Down Halifax over the years. Their dedication, talent, and heart brought this restaurant to life.

Although we are saying a good-bye to Barrington Street, the essence of 2 Doors Down keeps strong in our Dartmouth Crossing location, continuing to serve with the same heart, flavour and hospitality. In the meantime, Halifax is open all December—stop in, savour your favourites, and soak up the festive season with us.

Thank you, Halifax—and thank you to our remarkable team—for every memory and every plate shared. You will always be part of us. Please stay tuned to our socials for news about upcoming projects and future plans from our hospitality team.
