The blossoms are out, and the whole town feels like it's waking up for summer. And we feel awesome to be right in the middle of it all.

Behind every plate is a team that actually likes being here.

It’s fast, it’s loud, it’s a little chaotic…BUT it’s ours.

We are glad! Because we know we have loyal, awesome patrons. (Thank you folks)

We know that everyone walks in with a purpose, and that connection creates comfort.

We tried to cut corners. Not in a sneaky way…in a “food costs are wild and we need to ask questions” kind of way.

We looked for a more cost-effective chicken supplier. We personally tested options. But they never left our home kitchen.

Why?

Here's the thing most people don’t see: a lot of mass-produced chicken is “pumped”. It’s injected with water and additives to increase weight.

You’re paying for water. And we could taste it. Cheaper? Yes. Main St Local? Absolutely not. The quality just wasn’t there, so we have stuck with our premium no-pump chicken.

We passed on introducing the product. And thus, we failed to cut corners.

And honestly? We’re proud of that. We were reminded that good food stands on its own.

And that’s exactly how you like it.

Second weekend of May = chaos.

PSA: It’s also Mother’s Day weekend.

Whether you are opening the cottage, or getting the yard work done, trying to beat the black flies… you need to make sure Mom actually gets a moment to relax.

Vanilla waffles, Greek yogurt & strawberry coulis: because you can’t do it all on an empty stomach (and Mom deserves a little decadence) but remember we are closed on Sunday as usual.

“Holy cr*p, catering bookings are starting to fill. How do I tell Christina a) she’ll have to cover for me on the floor b) I don’t have time to mow the lawn this summer? Like, we’ve got cottage weekends, small weddings, dinner parties, and corporate gigs…hmmm I better fill all my weekends so I can hire a lawn guy.
