We have free parking available for customers driving to our location. Parking entrance is located off of Mount Pleasant Avenue, just south of Granite Brewery on the east side of the street. The Granite Brewery was first established in Halifax in 1985, making it one of Canada's oldest microbreweries. When Granite opened its doors in 1991, we had no way of knowing how much we would grow and become the heart of a community over the past 35 years.

We are incredibly grateful to every patron, employee, and vendor that has walked through our doors and helped make Granite what it is today.

To celebrate this incredible milestone, we’ll be hosting a beer fest featuring guest breweries on the back patio, a special barbecue menu, fun music, and a good time.

We’ll also be launching a special anniversary beer 🍻

Aaron is a caretaker and Kathryn is a teacher.

Aaron loves baseball, wrestling and good times with friends
Kathryn loves baseball, Winners, Marshall’s and Homesense, dachshunds, music.

They have been coming to Granite for a few years. Aaron’s go to beer is Ringwood and Kathryn’s is buzzy buzzy buzzy buzz buzz aka Keep On Buzzin’

They love Granite because of the people, atmosphere, rotating weekly specials, chicken wings, amazing beer selection that’s freshly brewed in a local Canadian business!

Their favourite events to attend at Granite are Music Monday, Drag Brunch, and all you can eat Sunday brunch.

After more than a year of writing, researching and digging through family stories and photographs I’m excited to share that my book Brewed in the Family will be available in August.

It’s the story of the Keefe family journey from Ireland to Prince Edward Island, through Halifax Taverns and ultimately to the Granite Brewery in Toronto. Part family memoir, part social history and part the love of craft beer, it chronicles nearly 200 years of hospitality, hard work and a few adventures along the way, even including a murder mystery!

If you’ve ever shared a pint, attended a wedding, celebrated a milestone or simply enjoyed good conversation at the Granite, there’s a little bit of your story in these pages too.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who donated, participated, and joined us for our 2nd Annual ALS Fundraiser.

Thanks to the generosity of our amazing community, together we raised $14,130 in support of ALS research and vital patient care programs.

This event would not have been possible without the individuals and businesses who contributed silent auction and raffle items, made monetary donations, and showed up to support the cause. Your kindness, generosity, and commitment continue to make a meaningful impact.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for helping us raise awareness, fund important research, and support those affected by ALS.

Donations will remain open until the end of June, so if you would still like to contribute, there is still time to make a difference.
