🎉 HAFOD AT 10 – A JOURNEY THROUGH TIME

From welcoming cyclists over 100 years ago... to welcoming guests from across the world today. Throughout June we've shared the Hafod story, and today we'd simply like to say Diolch/ thank you.

Thank you to everyone who has stayed with us, dined with us, celebrated with us and supported us over the years. We're incredibly proud to be part of Hafod's history, and even more excited about its future.

🍻 HAFOD AT 10 – THE STORY CONTINUES...

DAY 6 – THE REGULARS

The first photo was taken during our first few weeks at Hafod in 2016. Ten years have passed, there's been a major refurbishment, the bar has moved, and Hafod has changed in more ways than we can count. Fortunately, some things haven't changed. These familiar faces have been helping us keep an eye on the real ale since day one and we're pleased to report they're still regular visitors today.

🎉 HAFOD AT 10 – THE STORY CONTINUES...

DAY 4 – THE RENOVATION

These photos were taken during the refurbishment, when much of Hafod looked very different to how you'll remember it today.

Walls came down, floors were lifted, steel beams were installed and years of alterations were stripped back to reveal the character of the original building.

There was plenty of dust, noise and disruption, but step by step the building started to take shape.

Looking through these photos brings back plenty of memories, including a young Deian getting stuck into the demolition work. It seems his rugby strength and conditioning started long before anyone realised! 💪🏉

🎉 HAFOD AT 10 – THE STORY CONTINUES... 📦

A few hours after taking over Hafod, the furniture lorries arrived!

Boxes everywhere, furniture to build, rooms to set up and young boys who thought the whole thing was one big adventure.

Whilst we were worrying about getting everything ready, Deian and Deri were busy turning the packing boxes into a den and making themselves at home.

Looking at these photos, it's safe to say we all had very different priorities!

To be fair, they probably had the right idea whilst the rest of us were carrying furniture up the stairs! 😅

🎉 CELEBRATING 10 YEARS OF HAFOD 🎉

This month marks 10 years since we took over the Hafod, and what an incredible journey it has been.

Over the coming weeks, we'll be sharing our Hafod story with you – from the day we bought the business, through the challenges, achievements, improvements and memories that have shaped Hafod into what it is today.

We'll be posting photos, stories and milestones from the last decade, and next week we'll launch a special calendar of events for the next three months as we celebrate this important anniversary.

Today we're sharing two photographs – one from when we first took over Hafod 10 years ago, and one taken this week with Nicol, Deian and Deri. Looking back, it's amazing to see how far we've come.
