Alright everyone. *Waves hello*

This week is Armed Forces week. So we are doing a fundraiser in the form of tea, coffee, cake and scones with all funds going directly to the RMA-The Royal Marines Charity .

Chunky has dropped off a huge green bucket for all donations. If you can pay by cash, we would be grateful. Every penny goes straight into the green beret bucket.

In addition to our normal workshops and sessions, we are serving original WWII recipe cakes from 11am to 4pm, with pots of tea or coffee. We can only seat 6 people. Just pop in, have a brew, make a donation which says thank you to all our armed forces who keep us free and safe. If we can raise a hundred quid, then that would be great!

See you in the week!

Clair, Nay, Sarah and Daisy.

Ps. If you want to support but have special dietary needs, just call us on 01288 350107 the day before. We can provide GF, DF and vegan cakes on request.

NEW SIGNS AFTER OAR CRASH - A God Lesson

We love what we do, even when we have to make new signs for the oars! That was the lesson. Refresh yourselves!

Thanks to Quick Drill Sam for putting them up.

Our oars are from the Great Mates surf boat and funnily enough that says it all about the people I work with.

Our heart is always Community First and we will never stop helping others, working with young people to be the best that they can be, and in particular Daisy, who is smashing it.

Love you all, πŸ₯°

My goodness, Dad's are the best. Whoever your dad is or to which ever top bloke you want to say a little thanks for being there.

A top bloke can be your dad, is your hero, the fun guy, your sports coach, your mentor, your ski buddy, still got the moves, just not quite as good as he thinks he was, makes you laugh, your first phonecall when you are stuck, gives the best hugs, your protector, is always there for you. Always.

We do wonderful children prints on a wide range of useful ceramic items that will be forever gifts. From Β£10. Coasters, tiles, shed signs, mugs, plates, bowls.

Believe me when we say we can turn a hand or footprint into anything.... A tractor, a fish, owl, butterfly.... Dinosaur.

And your own words or personal message.

Or simply come and make your own.

Last creative day is Thursday 18th June. See you all soon.

Damn I miss my Dad.

β˜€οΈMy goodness, it is Whitsun holidays again! We have a great selection of creative workshops for you and your friends and family to join in.

We think one of the best ways to reconnect with yourself is to get creative, have some low-tech time and have plenty of tea and cake! 🍰

We totally believe that everyone can do art and our professional illustrators will guide you.

We have a brand new super-large kiln, so we are back on track! Hurrah!! πŸŽ‰

We also have a great range of extra sessions in the evenings and our amazing living history talk.

Looking forward to seeing you all soon!
Love, Clair, Nay, Sarah, Daisy and the gals.

Our new kiln has arrived.

We have called it Alan....
Alan Sugar....
Because each morning we will say 'You have been fired'. (I know!! I am here all week!πŸ˜πŸ˜‚)

Huge thanks to all of you eagerly waiting for your gorgeous designs to be fired. They will be ready this week. .... Once we have got the hang of the new instruction manual. I apologise for the delay.

Big thanks to the random blokes who helped carry this massive, shiny thing of beauty into the shop. I don't even know your names. We had tea and cake afterwards.... I was so grateful and happy that kindness is still randomly at large. Cheers to Keith for the electrical fitting. Also to Chunky for taking charge of the blokes shifting it into place. I made tea.

What does this all mean? Well,

Energy efficient so better for the climate.
Higher firing temp so stoneware workshops will be back. Hurrah πŸ₯°
Bigger so we can fire more.
We can continue to sprinkle confidence and happiness like confetti.

Once again, thank you for support in our coastal, seasonal economy. The Kitchen Front is not just a small business. We are dedicated to the community. Our work with SEN young people is so important. So long as we are here, we will continue to support schools, care homes, community groups, young people, SEN young people and their enterprise projects, fundraising for charities and remembering the Great Generation.

If you would like us to come to you, we will be more than happy to deliver fun workshops in your space. For more information about our workshops, including evenings and weekends, please check www.thekitchenfront.co.uk.

Onwards and upwards dear friends. Here is to a fantastic summer season to all.

Step back in time and enjoy a proper 1940s tea experience at The Kitchen Front β˜•

We serve original WWII cake recipes, lovingly gathered from vintage cookbooks such as Stork Margarine and the Ministry of Food, along with treasured hand-me-down family recipes.

With tablecloths from my Nana and Grandad’s hotel on the Isle of Wight, vintage fine bone china, ration book menus, fresh flowers and replica newspapers, every table is dressed with a touch of the past.

Add nostalgic tunes and a little wartime spirit and, of course, if you want sugar, you will need your coupon.

We must say, our cream teas are rather wonderful too, with scones made fresh to order and served hot from the oven.

Our menu includes:
β˜• Pot of tea or coffee and a slice of cake – Β£5.50pp
πŸ«– Cream tea with hot, oven-fresh scones – Β£7.50pp
πŸ₯ͺ Light Afternoon Tea – Β£10pp
Cucumber sandwiches, crisps and scones
🍰 High Afternoon Tea – Β£20pp
Sandwiches, savoury pastries, crisps, chutney, cakes and scones

We are proud to serve Miles loose-leaf teas and their range of French press coffees. Homemade gluten-free, dairy-free and vegan cakes are also available.

If you fancy joining us for a little tea and cake, or would like to book your High Afternoon Tea in advance, do give us a ring or drop us an email.
We should be delighted to hear from you.
