Scotland’s best kept secret — a sticky toffee pudding that happens to be vegan.🌱

Dark date sponge, warm toffee sauce, vanilla ice cream on the side if you want it. All plant-based. All of it proper. None of it a compromise.

We didn’t put it on the menu to tick a box. We put it on because it’s that good.

Vegan or not — this one’s worth the detour.

Scotland gave the world haggis, whisky, and Irn Bru. We put them all on one table.

This is The Scottish Experience — Macsween haggis, Stornoway black pudding, and a dram of Glenmorangie 12 (or an Irn Bru if you’re keeping it Scottish in a different way). Served outside. On the Royal Mile. While the whole city moves past you.

It’s a nibble. It’s a moment. It’s the most Scottish thing you can do in Edinburgh without climbing Arthur’s Seat.

Whisky or Irn Bru — which one are you? 👇

Two bowls. Both Scottish. Both made for a slow morning on the Royal Mile.

The porridge — oats with honey and toasted crumble — has been on Scottish tables for centuries. The granola — yogurt, fresh berries, pansy flower, a little bit of theatre — is what happens when that same care meets something a bit more playful.

You can’t go wrong with either. But we want to know:

Nobody told me Edinburgh had a summer drink.🤩

I walked out onto the Royal Mile, sat down outside, and this arrived. Iced coffee, whipped cream, Biscoff on the side. The whole city moving past while I just... stayed.

That’s the thing about 57 High Street. You think you’re stopping for a coffee. You end up staying for the morning.

Whether you’re starting your Edinburgh trip, escaping the rain or just serious about breakfast — we’ve got your table ready.

📍Cafe Edinburgh — right on the Royal Mile, just minutes from Waverley Station.

Vegan sticky toffee pudding that still tastes rich, warm and properly comforting? Yeah, that’s the one. 🤎

Soft sponge, deep toffee flavour, hot sauce soaking into every corner and best enjoyed with a coffee while Edinburgh does its usual grey sky thing outside the window. A lot of people hear “vegan dessert” and expect compromise. This one changes their mind after the first spoon.

If you’re wandering around the Royal Mile or Old Town looking for coffee, brunch or something sweet after a long walk through the city — Café Edinburgh has you covered ☕️
