Vat’s the Problem!
We're proud to be supporting the campaign and standing alongside hospitality businesses across the UK in calling for a reduction in VAT for our sector.
This issue is particularly close to home for us. This time last year, the George was in administration. We know first-hand the challenges hospitality businesses are facing and just how difficult the current trading environment can be.
Since then, we've worked incredibly hard to rebuild, invest and create a sustainable future for our business, our team and our community. But many hospitality operators are still under immense pressure.
That's why we're backing a reduced rate of VAT for hospitality. It would provide vital support to pubs, restaurants, cafés, hotels and other venues, helping businesses remain viable, protect jobs and continue contributing to vibrant local communities.
We want to see hospitality succeed not just today, but long into the future. A thriving hospitality sector means stronger high streets, more employment opportunities and better value for customers.
