🤍 **Materni-Tea Meets is Back!** ☕👶

We're so excited to be relaunching our **FREE weekly Materni-Tea Meets** on **Monday 3rd August, from 9:30am–11:00am**! 🎉

If you're expecting a baby or have a little one under 6 months old, we'd love you to join us for a relaxed Monday morning filled with coffee, conversation and connection. Maternity leave can sometimes feel a little isolating, so we've created a calm, welcoming space where you can meet other local parents, share experiences, and find your village. 💛

✨ **Special Relaunch Treat!** ✨
To celebrate our first meet-up, we'll be offering **FREE pregnancy belly painting crafts** for expectant parents—a lovely opportunity to relax, get creative, and create a beautiful keepsake of your pregnancy. 🤍🎨

Each week you'll find:
✨ A friendly, supportive atmosphere
🤱 Access to our lactation specialist for feeding support, advice, encouragement or just a chat
☕ Our café open for barista-made coffee, drinks and delicious treats
🧸 Toys and books for your little ones to enjoy
🚗 Free on-street parking
👨‍👩‍👧 Partners are always welcome

One of the main jobs in running a café… cleaning. And cleaning...and more cleaning.

Because apparently I didn’t already spend enough of my life wiping surfaces, picking up crumbs, and wondering how things end up in places they definitely shouldn’t. 😂

The café version comes with its own surprises:
✨ a never-ending trail of teacake crumbs
✨ a hobby horse head somehow ending up in the bed (I’m pretty sure Mr Corleone had been visiting that day 🤌😂)
✨ dolls turning up in the oven or freezer… because apparently that’s where dolls live now 🤷‍♀️

And then there are the days my little girls come along to “help”… which is lovely, but also means the cleaning list sometimes gets a few bonus items added.

Behind every cosy café is a lot of scrubbing, a lot of tidying, and someone asking, “How did that even get there?”

I can't wait until I can afford a cleaner one day....one day!

POV: You spend the morning wondering why nobody booked the session… questioning your life choices, your marketing strategy, and whether everyone secretly hates your event. 🥲

Plot twist: the tickets were never actually available on the website. 🙃

So basically I was out here having a full emotional crisis over an imaginary problem.

10/10 admin skills. Absolutely nailed that one. 😂

Anyway… tickets ARE now live (because apparently that helps), and I’d love to see some actual humans there. 💛

🌸 **New Girls & Women Only Craft Meet-Up** 🌸

Looking for a friendly, relaxed space to get creative and meet new people?

Join us for our new girls and women only craft group, running every Wednesday from **29th July to 2nd September** throughout the summer holidays.

📅 **Wednesdays:** 29th July – 2nd September
🕙 **10:00am**
🎨 Free craft activity
☕ Free refreshments
💛 Free stay and play
💛 A welcoming, safe and inclusive space to chat, create and connect.

Bringing children? No problem! We'll also have a free stay-and-play session, so children who aren't interested in crafting can enjoy the play space while the adults craft, chat and relax together.

Our café will also be open if you'd like to purchase additional drinks or snacks.

Each week we'll have a suggested craft, but there's plenty of flexibility if you'd rather work on something different. Some of the ideas we're planning include:

✨ Personalised plaques for bedrooms or gardens
👕 Bleach-pattern T-shirts
🖊️ Artist-led neurographic art sessions
🧶 Pom-pom making
🪴 Decorating plant pots
💎 Jewellery making

As spaces are limited, please only book if you genuinely intend to attend, as each booking takes up a valuable place. If your plans change and you can no longer make it, please let me know as soon as possible so I can offer your space to someone else.

🎨✨ Craftea went mobile this afternoon! 🚐💜

I had a wonderful time at the Little London Community Day Event, where our pop-up craft stall was buzzing with creativity. 🖌️🌈

It was amazing to see so many children enjoying our FREE craft painting activities and talking about the launch of Her Space by !

I also tasted food from which was perfection!!!

Did you know CrafTea hosts Pride & Play – a completely FREE LGBTQ+ family play session for children and their grown-ups?

It's a welcoming, inclusive space where families can relax, play, make friends, and meet other families just like theirs. 💛

📅 When: The last Sunday of every month

🕑 Time: 2:00–3:30pm

If you didn't already know... there's a huge open-plan café in Meanwood that's been designed with adults in mind too.

Craftea isn't just another play café. While the kids disappear into role play areas, crafts, board games, jigsaws and imaginative play, you get 90 minutes to actually sit down, breathe, have a proper conversation, and maybe even drink a hot coffee without a child launching themselves at your b***s. ☕😅
